Livermore, CA – Shaké Sulikyan, a fundraising consultant with a solid track record and leadership skills, has been named executive director of ValleyCare Charitable Foundation. Joyce and Bob Shapiro, co-chairs of the Foundation, are pleased with the selection, "Shaké Sulikyan is a talented and proven leader in the non-profit foundation community. We look forward to achieving our goals with her leadership.”
In her role as Executive Director, Sulikyan will provide strategic leadership and oversight of ValleyCare Charitable Foundation's programs and activities. "I am excited to join the Foundation at this pivotal moment," said Sulikyan. "I look forward to working with the Board and applying my skills, expertise and knowledge of best practices in fundraising, communications, and management to help Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare continue to deliver state-of-the-art health care to our community."
Prior to her family's move to the Tri-Valley, Sulikyan served as senior director of Annual Giving at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She built the Medical School's Annual Giving program from the ground-up and raised over $4 million per year. Previously, Sulikyan served as director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, MA and held positions in the development offices of Simmons College and Associated Early Care and Education, Inc., both in Boston.
In addition to her professional positions, Sulikyan has actively given back to non-profit organizations. Currently, she is a member of the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance's Program ValleyCare Foundation Executive Director, Committee and serves as a volunteer with Valley Children's Museum. An alumna of Clark University, Worcester, MA, she serves as immediate-past president of Clark University's Alumni Association and is a member of the Bay Area Regional Council.
She lives in Livermore with her husband, James Curtis and her 4-year-old son Victor.
